Strengthening collaboration on climate-driven food safety risks and mycotoxin management

AMBROSIA is pleased to establish a synergy with MYMATCH, a Horizon Europe project focused on developing an AI-driven mycotoxin management platform to address the impact of climate change on food safety and human health.

Climate change is creating new challenges for European food systems, including conditions that may favour the occurrence and spread of mycotoxins in key crops and food products. In this context, the collaboration between AMBROSIA and MYMATCH creates an important opportunity to exchange knowledge, align communication efforts and strengthen stakeholder engagement around emerging food safety risks.

While AMBROSIA works towards a holistic, climate-informed approach to food safety risk assessment across the supply chain, MYMATCH contributes targeted expertise on mycotoxin prediction, mitigation and management. The synergy between the two projects supports a shared ambition: to provide food system actors with better knowledge, data-driven tools and practical guidance to anticipate and respond to food safety risks in a changing climate.

Through this collaboration, AMBROSIA and MYMATCH aim to explore opportunities for joint communication, knowledge exchange, stakeholder outreach and mutual dissemination of project outcomes.

Together, the two projects contribute to more resilient, informed and proactive food safety systems across Europe.
